chumba
Chumba Lama

Tibetan Yoga & Breathing Master

Chumba Lama spent his childhood and youth as a monk in Kathmandu right on top of the Swayambhunath Temple in a monastery. In the 1970s and 1980s, he met many spiritual teachers, masters, gurus and yogis – Tibetans as well as Indians – at this sacred place in Nepal, which is thousands of years old. Chumba's main spiritual teacher is the 14th Shamar Rinpoche, a lineage holder of the Tibetan Karma Kadgyue tradition. Chumba worked for him as a personal servant for many years, so he received direct spiritual initiations and insights from him and other masters of this lineage. From a young age, Chumba had access to a deep, spiritual education on the one hand and contacts with great yoga masters and healers on the other, as he had always been interested in various healing methods.
